NEET UG and JEE Main to be held TWICE in a year by NTA

It’s a student-friendly move by Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) announcing that from 2019 JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) exams will be conducted twice by National Testing Agency (NTA). However, no change to be seen in the exams’ syllabus, pattern and the exam fee remains the same. Due to the demand of students, the ministry has taken this decision so it’s a good thing for JEE and NEET aspirants. Now, let’s have a look at the tentative schedule.

Tentative Schedule

According to the tentative schedule, NEET (UG) will be held in February 2019 and May 2019. On the other hand, JEE (Main) will take place in January 2019 and April 2019 and UGC-NET is announced to be held in December 2018. All these competitive exams would be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The ministry has stated that all these exams will take place now in computer-based format to ensure secured exams of leak-proof. And, the exams’ timetable to be conducted by NTA is expected to be uploaded on the official ministry’s website.

Syllabus | Pattern | Fee

It’s been announced that the exam syllabus, fee, nature of questions as well as the language choice will not change and remain the same, however, the exam method is commenced to be held computer-based only, and tests will be conducted in multiple sittings where the candidate can acquire an option to choose of dates.

As the exam conducting procedure seems to be more secure and enabling international norms, the probability for leakage becomes minimal but maximizing the possibility to be student-friendly and scientific. As the examination will be spread over 5-days, students can select the exam date at their convenience.
