JEE MAIN 2020 Notification, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Guidelines

About JEE Main 2020:

  • Joint Entrance Examination commonly known as JEE main is a national level engineering entrance exam.
  • NTA has released the JEE Main 2020 Notification for January and April session has been released on 21-aug-2019.
  • NTA(National Testing Agency) is the newly formed authority who is going to conduct the JEE main examination from 2019
  • JEE Main acts as a gateway for admission to engineering colleges in India like IITs, NITs, GFTIs, etc.
  • This examination is conducted twice in a year.

Important dates:

Examination JEE Main :January-2020
Mode of examination Computer based examination
Registration dates 2nd to 30th September, 2019
Downloading of admit cards 6th December ,2019
Dates of examination 6th to 11th January, 2020
Dates of announcing results 31st January, 2020

 

Eligibility:

  • Candidate must have passed the 12th class exam or another equivalent qualifying exam in 2018 or 2019 and also the candidates who attempting 12th class board exam in 2020 are eligible.
  • 75% of marks need to be secured by the candidates who have appeared for the class 12th board exam. For ST/SC candidates qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th

Candidates must have 5 subjects in the qualifying exam with Physics Distribution of questions:

Timings & Marking scheme:

  • Total duration of JEE Main exam is 3 hours.
  • +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer
